A vid\u00edte, j\u00e1 v\u00e1m s pot\u011b\u0161en\u00edm poslou\u017e\u00edm. Co pak tedy sou ty sv\u011btlice? Sou to snad zl\u00ed duchov\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed v temnostech tohoto sv\u011bta panuj\u00ed?<\/p>\n<p>Ne, mil\u00ed lid\u00e9, 12t\u00fd ver\u0161 6t\u00e9 kapitoly z psan\u00ed Pavlova k Efezsk\u00fdm dokonce sem nepat\u0159\u00ed. Aneb sou to ohyzdn\u00e1 stra\u0161idla? Zas ne. Neb stra\u0161idla bez toho nic jin\u00e9ho nejsou, ne\u017e smy\u0161len\u00ed boj\u00e1cn\u00fdch lid\u00ed, a v\u0161ecko, co se o nich vypravuje, sou daremn\u00e9 pov\u00edda\u010dky. Aneb sou to snad bloud\u00edc\u00ed du\u0161e? Ani ty nejsou a bejt nemohou; neb jak se du\u0161e od t\u011bla odd\u011bl\u00ed, hned se na to m\u00edsto odebere, kter\u00e9 j\u00ed B\u016fh podl\u00e9 skutk\u016f jej\u00edch usoud\u00ed. Ne\u017e, \u0159eknete, sv\u011btlice nemohou nic dobr\u00e9ho bejt, pon\u011bvad\u017e mnoho lid\u00ed zavedou.<\/p>\n<p>Dob\u0159e; mil\u00ed lid\u00e9: sv\u011btlice mnoho lid\u00ed zavedou; ne\u017e z toho dokonce nen\u00e1sleduje, \u017ee n\u011bco zl\u00e9ho a stra\u0161liv\u00e9ho sou; n\u00fdbr\u017e dobr\u00e1 dobr\u00e1 pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed dokonce jina\u010d n\u00e1s u\u010dej\u00ed. Kdy\u017e se dohon\u011bj\u00ed a vy\u0161et\u0159ej\u00ed, tak se nalezne, \u017ee sou to sirn\u00e9 a olejn\u00e9 p\u00e1ry, kter\u00e9 z mo\u010didel, bahen a h\u0159bitov\u016f vyvstaly, skrze zimu no\u010dn\u00ed v chom\u00e1\u010de shustly, a dokonce bl\u00edzko p\u0159i zemi se zap\u00e1lily. Pon\u011bvad\u017e se tedy v pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed vzn\u00e1\u0161ej\u00ed, a tak t\u011b\u017e\u0161\u00ed nejsou,, ne\u017e pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed, tak musej\u00ed taky ka\u017ed\u00e9ho pohnut\u00ed pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed n\u00e1sledovat. Tolik chci \u0159\u00edct: kam v\u00edtr jde, tam taky jdou.<\/p>\n<p>B\u011b\u017e\u00edli se k n\u00edm, tak ut\u00edkaj\u00ed, pon\u011bvad\u017e skrze silnou ch\u016fzi pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed p\u0159ed sebou \u017eeneme. A pon\u011bvad\u017e p\u0159es pa\u0159ezy a kamen\u00ed, p\u0159es hory a doly, po zemi a p\u0159es vodu sk\u00e1kaj\u00ed; tak nem\u016f\u017ee jina\u010d bejt, ne\u017e \u017ee ten \u010dlov\u011bk, kter\u00fd za nimi posp\u00edch\u00e1, domn\u00edvaje se, \u017ee snad n\u011bkdo s lucernou aneb n\u011bjak\u00e9 jin\u00e9 sv\u011btlo je, do rybn\u00edk\u016f a bahen, aneb do konce do nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edho nebezpe\u010denstv\u00ed \u017eivota p\u0159iv\u00e9st, se mus\u00ed. Boj\u00edme-li se jich, tak se k n\u00e1m v\u017edy v\u00edc bl\u00ed\u017eeji, pon\u011bvad\u017e v strachu zhluboka oddych\u00e1me, a tak pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed k sob\u011b t\u00e1hneme. Zakl\u00edn\u00e1me-li se, tak zas ustupuj\u00ed, pon\u011bvad\u017e skrze takov\u00e9 prudk\u00e9 mluven\u00ed pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed se odh\u00e1n\u00ed. Tuby byla tedy jednou ta p\u0159\u00edpadnost, kdeby nezbedn\u00e9 a daremn\u00e9 klet\u00ed n\u011bco spomohlo. Ne\u017e, kdy\u017e my, mil\u00ed lid\u00e9, sv\u011btlice ji\u017e zn\u00e1te, a v\u00edte, odkud poch\u00e1zej\u00ed, a co vlastn\u011b sou, tak taky velmi patrn\u011b pozn\u00e1te, \u017ee se jich nepot\u0159ebujeme &#8211; ani b\u00e1t, ani \u017ee p\u0159\u00ed\u010dinu nem\u00e1me, zakl\u00edn\u00e1n\u00edm je odh\u00e1n\u011bt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>\u2014 M\u011bs\u00ed\u010dn\u00fd Spis k pou\u010den\u00ed a obveselen\u00ed obecn\u00e9ho lidu 1787, str. 478\u201480. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Na zemi mohou t\u00e9\u017e sv\u011btl\u00e9 zp\u016fsoby se ukazovati, kter\u00fdmi neum\u011bli lid\u00e9 velice se d\u011bs\u00ed. Mezi nimi\u017e jest sv\u011btlice neb sv\u011bt\u00fdlko nejzn\u00e1m\u011bj\u0161\u00ed. Takov\u00e1 ohniv\u00e1 sp\u016fsoba nen\u00ed nic jin\u00e9ho ne\u017e p\u00e1liv\u00e9 (ho\u0159iv\u00e9) pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed z mo\u010didla \u010dili bahna, kter\u00e9 se p\u0159i zemi zap\u00e1l\u00ed. Pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed v mo\u010didlech jest, jak\u017e jsem pov\u011bd\u011bl, p\u00e1liv\u00e9 \u010dili ho\u0159iv\u00e9 pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed; to se velmi snadn\u011b zejme, kdy\u017e je z lahvice (fla\u0161ky) na sv\u00ed\u010dku pust\u00edme, neb kdy\u017e elektrick\u00e1 jiskra na n\u011b padne; mimo to stane se to zan\u00edcen\u00ed neb zap\u00e1len\u00ed bez um\u011bn\u00ed, kdy\u017e se p\u0159irozen\u00fdm pov\u011bt\u0159\u00edm parnat\u00e9ho obora v jist\u00e9m stupni sm\u00edsi. Stane se tedy sv\u011btlice neb sv\u011bt\u00fdlko, kdy\u017e pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed z mo\u010didla se zan\u00edt\u00ed a chv\u00edl\u00ed ho\u0159\u00ed. Z toho jest vid\u011bti, \u017ee na takov\u00fdch m\u00edstech poch\u00e1zej\u00ed a p\u016fvod sv\u016fj berou, kde\u017e jest mnoho hnij\u00edc\u00edch v\u011bc\u00ed, jako v mo\u010didlech a bahnech, i na h\u0159bitovech a na m\u00edstech, kde\u017e bitvy svedeny byly, proto\u017ee tam mnoho p\u00e1liv\u00e9ho pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed jest. V vzd\u00e1l\u00ed se ukazuje sv\u011btlice tak velk\u00e1 jako plamen sv\u00ed\u010dky; z t\u00e9 p\u0159\u00ed\u010diny velmi snadn\u011b pocestn\u00ed, kdy\u017e za t\u00edm sv\u011btlem jdou, mysl\u00edce do vesnice n\u011bjak\u00e9 p\u0159ij\u00edti, v mo\u010didla a bahni\u0161t\u011b se mohou dostati, pon\u011bvad\u017e nejv\u00edce v takov\u00fdch m\u00edstech poch\u00e1zej\u00ed a se nal\u00e9zaj\u00ed, .ani\u017e se tomu co diviti, \u017ee nejmen\u0161\u00edm v\u011btrem sebou d\u00e1le pohybovati daj\u00ed, pon\u011bvad\u017e nic jin\u00e9ho nejsou, ne\u017e p\u00e1liv\u00e9 bahnat\u00e9 a mo\u010didln\u00e9 pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed. Sv\u011btlice (sv\u011bt\u00fdlko) ut\u00edk\u00e1 p\u0159ed t\u00edm, kdo\u017e za n\u00ed jde, a jde za t\u00edm, kdo\u017e p\u0159ed n\u00ed ut\u00edk\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>P\u0159\u00ed\u010dina toho jest patrn\u00e1: kdy\u017e k sv\u011btlici jdeme, tedy tiskneme p\u0159ed sebou pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed, a t\u00edm tisknut\u00edm stane se pohnut\u00ed, j\u00edm\u017e sv\u011btlice d\u00e1le se \u017eene; ut\u00edk\u00e1meli p\u0159ed n\u00ed, tedy pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed po\u0159\u00e1d se rozd\u011bluje;&#8216; to pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed, kter\u00e9\u017e za n\u00e1mi jest, zpl\u00fdv\u00e1 a \u017eene se tam, kam my b\u011b\u017e\u00edme, sv\u011btlice, jeliko\u017e pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed mus\u00ed za t\u00edm tahem pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed j\u00edti, a tedy po\u0159\u00e1d za n\u00e1mi se br\u00e1ti. Z jej\u00ed povahy se t\u00e9\u017e d\u00e1 vysv\u011btliti, pro\u010d vozkov\u00e9 po cest\u00e1ch (formani) na tu my\u0161lenku p\u0159i\u0161li, \u017ee klen\u00edm a hromov\u00e1n\u00edm sv\u011btlice se ode-\u017eenou; neb kdy\u017e n\u011bkdo kleje, strk\u00e1 pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed od sebe a t\u00edm i sv\u011btlici; vesm\u011bs jest k tomu dosti ka\u017ed\u00e9ho siln\u00e9ho k\u0159i\u010den\u00ed. T\u00e9\u017e se ode\u017eene, kdy\u017e k m\u00edstu, kde\u017e sv\u011btlice se ok\u00e1\u017ee, bi\u010dem siln\u011b se pr\u00e1sk\u00e1. Naproti tomu pr\u00fd bl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed se k \u010dlov\u011bku, an se modl\u00ed, pon\u011bvad\u017e modl\u00edc\u00ed se k sob\u011b p\u0159itahuje pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed, jim\u017e sv\u011btlice nucena jest tahem pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed j\u00edti, v\u0161ak m\u00e1lo kdy se k n\u00ed, je\u0161to jako p\u00e1liv\u00e9 bahnat\u00e9 pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed jest velmi hnutedln\u00e9, tak p\u0159ibl\u00ed\u017e\u00edme, \u017ee klen\u00edm aneb modlen\u00edm m\u00edsto jej\u00ed zm\u011bniti se m\u016f\u017ee. Pov\u011br\u010div\u00ed lid\u00e9 maj\u00ed sv\u011btlice za stra\u0161idla aneb no\u010dn\u00ed duchy, pon\u011bvad\u017e se na h\u0159bitovech ukazuj\u00ed, a na jin\u00fdch m\u00edstech op\u011bt pocestn\u00e9 za t\u00edm sv\u011btlem jdouc\u00ed, s prav\u00e9 cesty sv\u00e1d\u011bj\u00ed, a v bahna a mo\u010didla, i v rybn\u00edky zavozuj\u00ed.
